Name of the department: ORGANON OF MEDICINE & HOMOEOPATHIC PHILOSOPHY

This subject has major contribution in the curriculum as it is taught in all four years of the BHMS course. This is a basic subject which provides knowledge of Homoeopathy to the students and helps them in their clinical practice. This subject is taught to the students in both theory and clinical classes in each year by the faculty

Aim: At the end of course students shall be able to,

• Outline the identity of homeopathic physician.
• Recall the basic principles of homeopathy.
• List the pioneers of homoeopathy and their contributions.
• Differentiate between inductive and deductive logic in the context of understanding of fundamentals of Homoeopathy
• Discuss patient as in the dimensions of a person, disposition, state of mind and body with reference to the study of disease process and its causes with homoeopathic approach in therapeutics.
• Correlate the writings in Homoeopathy with Psychology.
• Correlate the laws of physics and chemistry with homeopathic principles.
• Relate the person in wider dimensions to assess the factors responsible for genesis and maintenance of illness i.e. Fundamental cause, Predisposing Cause, Maintaining Cause and one-sided diseases.
• Identify the evolution of illness in a person. Recognize the characteristic features of a person and his / her illness.
•  Analyse the case to project what is to be cured and what is curable.
• Correlate the knowledge of basic sciences with homoeopathic philosophy.
• Illustrate the miasmatic expressions in the case.
• Recognize the most similar medicine and Assess the level of susceptibility and relate it to selection of potency.
